the self-titled "Ex Sanguis" LP is based on the concept of Ex Sanguis, a sci-fi horror drama about vampires, demons, supernatural occurrences, and horrors from beyond the cosmos, drawing heavy influence from H.P. Lovecraft. The story takes place in modern day, on Earth, in a parallel reality where the laws of physics operate a little differently. The LP explores some events from the first book of the series, particularly among three main characters: Alice Morel, a nightwalker, Eston Wessex, a Witness (an extraordinarily gifted individual who has witnessed cosmological phenomena or had an enlightened experience which directly affected their consciousness), and Rex, who is also a nightwalker. The album also explores some supernatural encounters between the main characters and an 'Ancient' known only as "The Jockey"; a demonic being from a dimension outside of this universe, who happens to have a particular interest in Earth...
